Sweet treats are a fun way to greet the kids after school. Unfortunately, most sweets are less than healthy, and definitely not a great way to get geared up for homework time.

What if you could serve up something yummy, healthy, and fun for the kids to enjoy after school? Better yet, what if it required absolutely no cooking? Is there such a thing? Of course there is!

Enter the frozen fruity treats listed below. These tasty, icy, snacks are filled with nutrition and delicious fun. They are easy to serve, easy to make, and help your kids reach their daily fruit quota. What better thing could you possibly make with any one of your kitchen appliances?

— Blueberries and Cream Pops —

Packed full of antioxidants, these creamy pops of goodness are a delicious addition to any day. Be careful though, these things are addicting, and you may find yourself making a new batch on a daily basis.

You’ll need:

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3½ cups vanilla yogurt
  • Blender
  • Ice pop mold

Instructions:

  1. Place blueberries, honey, and yogurt in the blender and blend on low until smooth.
  2. Divide the remaining yogurt between the ice pop molds.
  3. Layer blueberry mixture on top of the yogurt.
  4. Freeze for 4–24 hours until solid.

— Chocolate Banana Frozen Treat —

When it comes to healthy treats, this is as close to ice cream as you’re going to get. The good news? It’s pretty dang close. The bad news? You may not ever want to eat anything else.

You’ll need:

  • 3 ripe, frozen bananas
  • 3 ripe, fresh bananas
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • Blender
  • Resealable freezer container

Instructions:

  1. Place bananas in blender and blend until creamy.
  2. Add cocoa powder and pulse until well combined.
  3. Place in the freezer container, seal, and place in freezer 3–4 hours.
  4. Scoop and serve in bowls.

— Quick and Easy Peach Sorbet —

This sorbet is so easy to make, you’ll likely find yourself making it time and time again. Don’t worry though, its sweet delicious flavor—while undeniably there—is not an indicator of how healthy this treat is.

In fact, this yummy dessert is made with little more than the peaches themselves, making for a dessert low in calories but high in wow factor.

You’ll need:

  • 4 ripe peaches, peeled, sliced, and frozen
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Blender
  • Resealable freezer container

Instructions:

  1. Place peaches, honey, and lemon juice in blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Move mixture to the freezer container, seal, and freeze for 3–4 hours.
  3. Scoop and serve in bowls.

— Frozen Yogurt Bites —

These bite-sized treats are perfect for little ones just looking for something small to snack on. They are flavorful enough to fill anyone’s need for a sweet treat, but still healthy and packed with all the goodness found in the yogurt and fruit of your choice.

For an added element of fun, freeze these into your favorite shapes using silicone molds. After all, what could be more fun than eating a tiny, tasty star-shaped FroYo bite?

You’ll need:

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, or raspberries
  • Blender
  • Ice cube tray or silicone mold

Instructions:

  1. Place yogurt and berries in blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Divide the mixture evenly amongst the molds.
  3. Freeze 4–6 hours until solid.
  4. Pop out and enjoy within 3 days.
