Horrible service. They sent me two 10 year olds on a service call for why my washer continually smells moldy ( and STILL does today) and I was told, quote “don’t all washers smell??” I suggested there must be a leak and was also told “ if there was a leak you’d have a puddle of water on the floor.“ NOT TRUE. It’s Obviously an internal leak somewhere, ( which they refused to check for) probably very tiny not to puddle but enough to create moldy mildew odor. I was also told they don’t cover leaks! It’s UNDER WARRANTY! I will be calling them back!

Due to a deliberate mishandling of my appointment (Whirlpool set it at the morning instead of the afternoon I asked, they gave the Fred's the wrong phone number, no email address, etc) by Whirlpool, the first appointment was messed up. The girl (by the name of Marny, Matty or something) on the Fred's team was very rude in handling this missed and messed-up appointment. She refused to set the re-appointment for the afternoon. She coldly said I had to call the Fred's on the previous day of the appointment to find out which time slot (morning or afternoon) I will be getting. By email message I received in the afternoon of the previous day, and found out the appointment was set for the afternoon. When I called the Fred's team to confirm this afternoon appointment, the girl sounded extremely sweet. I think she was sweet because she wanted a good review from me.

My new Whirlpool dryer is not running sufficiently hot to dry clothes. Appointment was made through Whirlpool under warranty. Dan from Fred came on time and spend about 20 minutes. In the end, no problem was found. He explained the machine and its drying characteristics, along with several recommendations. I am satisfied and will live with the problem. I usually only give 4 stars since 5 would be perfect without room for improvement.

Gabriel P was very pleasant and did his job quickly. However my appointment was to be between 2-5pm. At 4:30 I received a text that he was behind schedule which I appreciated but at 5:30 I tried contact Fred’s by text to ask if he was still coming but they were closed. Fifteen minutes later he called to tell me he was on his way. So even though he didn’t get here until way after 6 pm, I was glad he stuck with it and installed my new dryer drum. But I guess Fred’s appliance policy doesn’t take “junk” so I’m stuck getting rid of a dryer drum from a dryer 2 months old that I purchased at a “big box” store.

I have had 5 visits and no one can find out why my machine is not spinning out the cloths or why when I clean the machine the soap is still coming out the back. I have cleaned it 5 times in a row with no soap and the next load I wash the machine again and soap is coming out the back. I was told by one of the team that it was my problem and good luck.

The appointment request and follow up system is a little over the top, in formalities. I had to re-schedule, kind of cumbersome. Also, I know you have to schedule and dispatch techs, but it is just as difficult for the customer to block out 3-4 hours from a work day to wait for a techs window. Work was done expertly, quickly and tech was very professional and polite.

Fred's was called due to the fridge not turning on as needed and extreme condensation in the fridge section and frosting in the freezer section. The serviceman identified that the thermostat was in need of replacement and thought replacing the thermostat would regulate the temp and stop the condensation in the fridge and the frosting in the freezer. Unfortunately, it did not so I called Fred's for a return visit. Corina B was the tech that arrived and she quickly identified the cause of the condensation and frost and fixed it for the most part. She is not only knowledgeable, but personable as well.
