Complaint that the unit is leaking gas. Customer had gas company out and they discover a leak in the unit at the valve and red tagged the unit and disconnected the gas line. Tech reconnected the line and checked for a leak using a gas leak solution. Tech found the unit leaking at the valve (see pic). Unit will need a gas valve and now according to the factory service whirlpool training held 12/06/17 the gas line will also have to be replaced. Ordering valve and line. Customer stated that the unit is not drying items on the delicate setting, removed toe panel and started a delicate cycle, observed flame lighting consistently, cycled appropriately for setting, room is more than adequate sized for supply air and unit tumbles fine, customer has a rigid 90 on back of dryer, connects to semi-rigid which runs about two feet then curves into the wall, unit is upstairs, stated it 90s out to the back wall of the house, he also said had ran it straight out with no 90s and it made no difference, explained that the only issue I could see was a possibility of buildup in exhaust venting, advised cleaning should be done twice a year with a brush, customer does not like my professional opinion.
