Complaint that the customer is having to replace the cooktop bulb constantly and the light will not shut off. Checked the unit and found the relay stuck closed. Customer stated that when the bulb goes it explodes (blackening the inside). Checked for pinched wires and found all ok. Checked the outlet and found a steady 125vac. Also checked the voltage at the light and found the same. Called and spoke to Kurt at techline sr#7720397474. Per Kurt there is no pointers regarding this call other than if replacing the factory bulb to a LED it could cause failure to the control. Checked and found the socket center tab corroded and between Kurt and the tech both determined the cause to be the socket causing the issue. Complaint that the unit is making abnormal sounds when running. Checked and found the roller bearings to have failed. Cleaned shafts and replaced both, op test good. Cust has a foil accordion style vent hose attached to dryer (see pic).
