Customers complaint is that the unit is not cleaning during the aqua clean. Customer was under the impression that the unit would clean on its own. Tech advosed the customer that with the aqua self clean that scrubbing will have to be done after the cycle that this unit is not designed to get up in heat burn the over spills to ash. Tech also advised customer that on page 12 of their owners manual that additional cleans may have to be done for stubborn soil. Customer states that they can not get down on their hands and knees due to age to scrub a stove. Customers complaint is that the unit is not cleaning during the aqua clean. Customer was under the impression that the unit would clean on its own. Tech advosed the customer that with the aqua self clean that scrubbing will have to be done after the cycle that this unit is not designed to get up in heat burn the over spills to ash. Tech also advised customer that on page 12 of their owners manual that additional cleans may have to be done for stubborn soil. Customer states that they can not get down on their hands and knees due to age to scrub a stove. Called and spoke to at Kathy tech line sr# 7719066942 asking if there is anything that can be done to help the customer out. Per Kathy the unit has to be scrubbed before and after the cycle. Customers complaint is that the unit shut down during the self clean cycle. Found that the installer pryed the unit out and let the top panels off (see pics of damage and parts left off). Tech bypassed the thermal fuse to get to open and found the TCO for bake and broil open. Unit will need the blower, thermal fuse and the TCO. Customer states that the unit is only two weeks old. Recovered unit and installed the evap and found the compressor not needed. Pulled and held a 28"vac for more than 15 minutes. Recharged system with 5.0oz of 134a. Found good heat on the discharge tube out of the compressor and a good frost pattern starting on the evap.
