Unit not cooling at all. Amp draw showed likely restriction. Reclaimed refrigerant and replaced drier with truck stock dye drier. Charged unit with small amount of r134a to check for restrictions. Took close to 10 minutes to equalize pressures. Check my drier solder for restrictions, no restrictions from my soldering. Determined that restriction is before drier. Contacted whirlpool (case#7720754330). Informed of findings and advised to replace dryer again. Did and made no difference. Amp draw was .34 and recorded pressures. Tech line had me contact another division of whirlpool because of unit being lowes stock now. Complaint that the unit will not start. Checked and found all thermal devices, timer, and power down to motor and found good. Found the failure in the motor. Cust has a foil accordian style vent hose attached to dryer (see pic). Explained the fire hazard associated with this type of vent hose and advised cust to replace with a semiÂrigid metal hose to prevent fire hazard. Customer stated that she heard the motor running when Tech was working on the unit. Tech advised the customer that the motor was not running at all. Tech pressed the PTS switch several times and found no results but once and found unit to run. Tech tried to start unit again and it wouldn’t. Tech unplugged the motor harness and showed customer meter reading of 0vac before pressing the PTS switch. Tech pressed the PTS switch and showed customer that 120vac was now at the motor and it would start after reconnecting the harness. Left as estimate. ;, Job CmplTD

Complaint that the unit is leaking gas. Customer had gas company out and they discover a leak in the unit at the valve and red tagged the unit and disconnected the gas line. Tech reconnected the line and checked for a leak using a gas leak solution. Tech found the unit leaking at the valve (see pic).
