Complaint that the unint will not shut down on a timed dry. Customer states they set it for 70min and the unit will reach 60mins and not go any further. Tested unit on a timed dry and checked the timer motor. Found timer motor running at 70mins and continued to watch. Cust has a foil accordion style vent hose attached to dryer (see pic). Explained the fire hazard associated with this type of vent hose and advised cust to replace with a semiÂrigid metal hose to prevent fire hazard. Watched timer knob for over 10mins and found not to move. Pulled timer and the timer motor to find red hot and the timer gear seized. Unit needs timer.
