Horrible service. They sent me two 10 year olds on a service call for why my washer continually smells moldy ( and STILL does today) and I was told, quote “don’t all washers smell??” I suggested there must be a leak and was also told “ if there was a leak you’d have a puddle of water on the floor.“ NOT TRUE. It’s Obviously an internal leak somewhere, ( which they refused to check for) probably very tiny not to puddle but enough to create moldy mildew odor. I was also told they don’t cover leaks! It’s UNDER WARRANTY! I will be calling them back!

At 4:30 I received a text that he was behind schedule which I appreciated but at 5:30 I tried contact Fred’s by text to ask if he was still coming but they were closed. Fifteen minutes later he called to tell me he was on his way. So even though he didn’t get here until way after 6 pm, I was glad he stuck with it and installed my new dryer drum. But I guess Fred’s appliance policy doesn’t take “junk” so I’m stuck getting rid of a dryer drum from a dryer 2 months old that I purchased at a “big box” store.

I have had 5 visits and no one can find out why my machine is not spinning out the cloths or why when I clean the machine the soap is still coming out the back. I have cleaned it 5 times in a row with no soap and the next load I wash the machine again and soap is coming out the back. I was told by one of the team that it was my problem and good luck.

The appointment request and follow up system is a little over the top, in formalities. I had to re-schedule, kind of cumbersome. Also, I know you have to schedule and dispatch techs, but it is just as difficult for the customer to block out 3-4 hours from a work day to wait for a techs window. Fred's was called due to the fridge not turning on as needed and extreme condensation in the fridge section and frosting in the freezer section. The serviceman identified that the thermostat was in need of replacement and thought replacing the thermostat would regulate the temp and stop the condensation in the fridge and the frosting in the freezer. Unfortunately, it did not so I called Fred's for a return visit. Corina B was the tech that arrived and she quickly identified the cause of the condensation and frost and fixed it for the most part. She is not only knowledgeable, but personable as well.

Second service visit with different technician he said it needed balanced again. He ran a deep was load and it was ok. I said to him that neither he or the other technician lifted the tip-off the washer to see exactly what is going on as to why this machine shakes so violently that it vibrates off the 3” high pedestal it sits on?? He said because it is out of balance?? So he leaves and my wife does a load of laundry and ask him to stay and observe he said that he had 8 appointments and could not stay! Wow this is the second appointment for the same problem and he could not stay? So my wife turns the machine on and goes back to work. I get home last evening and the machine has vibrated off the pedestal again!! Extremely disappointing!! So I called this morning to set up another appointment (3rd) to fix this problem since we are going out of town. I ask for first thing next Friday morning at 8:00! She sai she could not guarantee me a time until they lay out their schedule for 9 days from now!! I would thing especially since this will be the third visit for the same problem and I am requesting first appointment I would be accommodated for the inconvenience?? But apparently maybe not! Thus not thrilled with this kind of “service”

Unit needs lid lock. Noise heard seems like something was in drain pump. Replaced lid lock and drain pump, drain pump was defective.
