Checked filter housing, good, checked airflow outside. Good, short vent, only about 1 foot long. Unit overall checks good. Called techline, tech line agrees that unit is good, since airflow is good and that the lint trap in deed did have lint, that verifies lint trap is working correctly. Techline went over washer could be collecting and getting lint out of clothes, depending on load sizes and types of materials of clothes dryer can have more or less lint. Customer to clean lint build up to outside home vent when needed. Unit checks good, if anyone questions, customer can call whirlpool customer service and give file number and go over anything needed. "Cc that unit was not draining. Tested unit and it will not drain can hear the pump running but no water pushing out. So we removed drain pump and found a piece of plastic and glass stuck inside which caused drain pump to jam up and broke one of the impellers. Explained to customer and gave her an estimate for the drain pump but she said if it works like that she will rather leave it as is but told her it could be damaged so we put it back together tested unit on a drain but it will not drain out the water we replaced drain pump, still was not draining properly. Removed hoses, blew out hoses for any blockage, hoses seemed clear. Tested voltage to drain pump, voltage tested good at 124v, removed check valve in hose, still not draining properly. Changed sec half of hose, and still not draining properly. Called BJ for assistance, every thing he suggested we had tried. He recommended first half of hose from pump. Gave customer estimate on new hose from pump. Removed unit from spot ran test and checked for power and had no power getting to it also made sure the thermostat did not trip and it didnt. Customer stated that unit was leaking but he fixed it there was a fork or something that pushed out the seal causing the leak but when it leaked it leaked on top of the control board casing getting inside and damaging the control board took pics of leak damage and board.
