My wife was home at the time and the service guy said our fridge was fine. I disagree. The mullion flap on the left door of the fridge does not open fully when the door is opened after the right door. Therefore, when the right door is closed first, the mullion bangs into the front of the door. There is no way in hell this is supposed to happen.

The initial diagnosis was done well. Two incorrect parts were ordered; on the next visit, technician installed them and said the job was done even though the part mismatch should have been obvious to him! I realized it was not right and contacted Fred's. One of the parts was reordered but when the technician came to install it, he realized he needed to reorder both parts. That was done and on the 4th visit, the problem was finally fixed. On the plus side, Fred's and the technician followed through and eventually got it done (at no additional charge). On the minus side, (1) two extra visits were required that should have been unnecessary (thankfully the stove could still be used during the process), (2) the technician would have accepted the incorrect parts and the resulting poor stove performance if I hadn't caught the problem and (3) I never got a call from Fred's customer service or management to assure me that they were on top of this problematic repair.

Corina was perfect in every way. She came thinking that all she would do is replace the interface on a 6 month old Maytag dryer. She had not been informed about switching the dryer door as it opened into the washer. I apologize for her not being informed, but when I called Maytag service I spoke to them about this as well as the technician who came 3 days prior to work on the washer. That being said, she consulted with others, and was able to fix it! What was amazing was she did it without the kit I was told I would have to buy to complete the task. Corina is a champ. The interface replacement was a breeze, she had it done in no time. This one is far more sensitive to the touch than the previous one. I was able to use washer and dryer after she had completed her work. It was a thing of beauty to turn the dryer on and not have the temperature change in the process of that cycle. Overall I would give Fred’s Appliance Service a five star review, for their promptness, efficiency, and quality of workmanship and technicians. Maytag I would rate 4 star. I’ve had these appliances in another property for about two and a half years without issue. I wish I could say the same about the new ones.
