"Cc unit not cooling, found unit unplugged, asked customer how she had the unit plugged in since the outlet is far from the unit she handed me an 16 gauge extension cord with a 3 prong adapter, spoke to BJ and he said this extension cords cant handle the amp draw from the unit and that she needs an appliance extension cord, I told customer that she needs a appliance extension cord since that one shes using its not rated for appliances. Use the extension cord and adapter, plugged in unit and compressor kicked on right away, hooked up to killawatt and unit pulling 1.34amps, let unit plug in for 10 mins and units seems to be cooling properly, moved the extension cord and compressor went off, the adapter came loose and unplugged from extension cord, customer handed me an 12 gauge outdoor extension cord and asked if that would work until she buys the other one, plugged unit to extension cord and unit is on and cooling, advise customer allow 24 hours for temps to equalize and to put a cup of water in the freezer and once she see it frozen she can start loading the unit. Also recommended customer to not over fill unit with clothes no more than 6 to 8 regular bath towels for a full load and 2 tablespoons of detergent to wash clothes. Confirmed the FC evaporator cover was all frosted up steamed out all frost and ice removed cover and found that thermistor was way out of place not reading correctly and heater wire was halfway off. Replaced thermistor and located it to the correct spot and reconnected the heater wire. Went into diagnostics to make sure heater was functioning and it was. Opt test ok.

Verified temps but temps were high FC at 40* and RC at 50* but it was because there power went out and came back on 5mins before I arrived but customer stated that he hasnt had any problems since he set the temperature to the second setting explained to customer that thats what the settings are for to set at there preference of temperature but he just wanted me to take a look at it and to make sure it was fine to leave it at where he has it. Unit working as designed and also explained to them to please keep tall or big objects from the center blocking the vent causing poor airflow and having freezing issues on back of RC. Opt test ok.
