My service was fine. I am quite disappointed regarding ZERO notification that I would be charged with a 100% warranted service call SET UP BY WHIRLPOOL NOT ME. Your staff phoned me during the day to ask if I could push my appt back due to emergency with your tech and would send someone else and had ample time to notify me of a charge. This did not occur. The tech came at 450pm and told me. I called your office and your operator stated that they were leaving at 5pm and could not stay for a call I would place to whirlpool to verify this. Whirlpool called your company at 503pm and your office was closed. Your tech contacted his boss and still required payment, which I paid and now am being refunded. A LOT OF TIME AND WORK UNNECESSARY HAD COMMUNICATION OCCURRED.

No issues at all with service or repairman. However, I was surprised to be charged for a service call on top of the labor. Typically, when contractors are called out and their visit results in either no work or an inexpensive repair then I see the point of paying a service charge. Businesses deserved to be paid for their time. But when the visit results in approximately $150 labor charge, the service call fee is waived or factored into the labor costs. Just my two cents. Good serviced. Pleased with the repair.

We have had Fred's Appliance to our home several times in the past and we were always very satisfied with the technician and the work they provided. This time, however, we were very disappointed. Once the technician arrived, he got right to work but I felt he was very dismissive of my questions and concerns. He said our convection oven was in perfect working order, even though it does not bake evenly on the "convection" mode. I was told to rotate my baking sheets to accomplish evenly baked cookies. I have owned convection ovens before this one and have never had to rotate baking sheets. We still don't feel our oven is working properly, but since your evaluation, we aren't sure of our next step.

Good morning. Since I was at work, my adult son, Eric was home at the time of service. He was told that I will be charged next time he comes out, and there is food stuck in the bottom dishwasher trap with an additional cost to me since this has happened before. Want you to know that I DO soak, rinse dishes prior to putting into my dishwasher. Did not realize that my bird maybe getting food in the dishwasher when he occasionally throws his food dish off the top of the refrigerator. This will be changed. My question and complaint is, doesn't a technician get paid WHATEVER the problem is? I did not see or read any stipulations, limitations, or specific criteria of repair when purchasing my extended warranty. I can reassure you that I will not be renewing my contract with the company providing warranty coverage if your company is providing service. When I see patients who have repeat problems, I do not tell them that I will be billing them extra.

This was second service for dishwasher leaving soap scum on glasses. At first service technician said with certainty that cause was not starting hot water at tap before wash. After weeks of doing this without any success I asked for second service. The same technician returned and said with same confidence as first time that cause of problem was using too much soap and that the Cascade Platinum (recommended by Kitchen Aid) was too much soap and I needed a product with "less soap."

My beef is with charging me $245 to swap out a thermostat that took the technician not more than 15 minutes to complete. I was charged $92 in labor! Does this mean that Fred's charges $368 per hour in labor?!?!? I'll never do business with you folks again. Next time, I'll save myself $200 and do it myself. And to make m atters worse, the technician didn't have the part in his truck even though he told me that the thermostat that failed was a common problem with the Whirlpool dryer. You can imagine the amount of clothes I had to wash after waiting for close to a week for my dryer to be repaired.
Maybe 3rd Time Will Fix The Issue

The technician who arrived the first time was efficient. He identified the problem, ordered the necessary parts and scheduled a follow up visit. A different technician arrived to install the parts and decided one wasn't necessary. He never checked to see if the microwave was working prior to leaving, and when we went to use it that evening it was inoperable. Unfortunately this was on a weekend and we were unable to reach Fred's. On Monday morning they did not reply to our email so we. Allied and were informed that we needed to contact JennAir even though we knew they were at fault for not installing both parts, and that they did, in fact, have the part needed. Furthermore, they were rude and unprofessional. We did contact JennAir and due to "a shortage in staffing", couldn't be scheduled for another 4 days. I would expect them to be eager to correct the situation since they didn't service the microwave correctly in the first place, but this wasn't the case. On a side note, after our initial visit I immediately received two emails from Fred's showing parts ordered and zero balance due (item under warranty). After second technician came out I received nothing, either hard copy or email. Not consistent.

Thanks for coming out and listening to the fridge. I woke up this am and heard it making the same squishy locomotive sound. Thank you for determining that it was still under warrantee. Unfortunately, I think we will need a return visit.

DRYER MAYTAG MGD6230HW0 "Cc of drying, different cycles not drying large/small clothes, only timed dry. Ran through diagnostics, no error codes. Good air flow, leads right outside. Ran through cycle diagnostics, ignitor is cycling on/off, working correctly. Held door switch while running. Can feel correct heat coming into drum. Advised the use of options for more heat and dryness level. Went over if having smaller loads or loads or not coming in connect with sensor, unit can take away dry time or turn off because it feels as though cycle is dry. Unit test good, used a towel to test. Op test ok"

REFRIGERATOR KITCHENAID KFCS22EVMS2 I pulled the refrigerator out I tested the P3 3 connector which is a brown wire to neutral I had 32 ohms of resistance which is the entire heating circuit the by metal heating element and all wires. All test good unit went into defrost cycle the heater element was heating it up started to defrost. Most likely control board is not staying into the frost long enough. Customers is also going to shut down the refrigerator until I return to install the control board to assure full defrost; ordrng 1 WPW10120827 (cntrl-elec)
