Check sensor before replacing it has 14 ohm check old one tech replace and it has 14 ohms replace it any way put back together started unit still not working but found and error f3e1 exhaust thermistor open or shorted to unit apart again check thermister resistance was 14.52 ohm in room temperature is good check harness for continuity from each end confirm they are good also check wire to ground is open thats also good call whirlpool tech line spoke to Anthony he said if all those results test good replace control, ordering parts also when put back together started working Im starting to think if it was a loose connection on control advise customer monitor if it happen again will need control and thermistor

Damper door is open, cannot feel cold air, control malfunctioning could be causing unit not to defrost. Control numbers will move by themselves. Temp reads 50 in FF, 0-1 in FZ. Unplugged unit to see if that will correct anything with control, control will still not take command. Damper is opening and closing properly. Verified temperatures and freezer was at 30* and ff section at 46* took off evaporator cover off and found that it only had frost on the bottom 3 rows rest had no frost pattern all fans were operating also Check compressor to see how much amperages it was pulling and had 2.00amps at start and running at 1.00amp to .91amps. Unit will need evaporator, compressor, and drier filter replaced. Ordering parts. Customer said they will try to call the store to try to get it replaced for new one because its only 4 months old and it already needs a seal system job. "Cc that they had a power outage and unit after couple of months wasnt making ice but now its making ice but getting stuck together. Verified all seal around icebox door and air vents were good checked the ice motor cover seal and was damaged on one side causing some warm air to come through and making the ice melt together. Also found that when the ice maker is filling with water it splashes a little into the ice bin because of the pressure of the water coming in. Also checked the heater wires and and fill tube and were good. Ran test on thermistors and ice maker and everything passed it harvest, filled and found home position. Replaced water valve and ice maker opt test no good. Checked voltage at ice maker and receiving 120vac. So i called BJ and we did some voltage test to the water valve while the ice maker was cycling and ice maker was sending the voltage to water valve but would not fill so BJ asked me to ohm out the tan wire on the ice maker connecter to the water valve tan wire and was open theres an internal wire split. Called tech line and spoke Adrian explained issue. Unit under review they will contact customer with outcome.; used 1 WPW10300024 (ICE MAKER) from stock
