We used Fred's for a warranty repair to our Whirlpool refrigerator. The manufacturer sent us the part but it was harder to install then I thought so they scheduled Fred's to install the item. It was a GREAT idea. The part was harder to install then I though and it took the tech a while to get it installed properly. The tech was a nice young man who put on booties when he entered the house and took special care to make sure our things were handled with care. Fred's called once to schedule the service and then followed up with an email and we could even track the tech's schedule via the web. That was outstanding.

Art has been sent to our house for refrigerator several times, not for poor service but trying to fix a problem related refrigerator. He has been thorough and honest as to the issues. His ability to discuss with the Frigidaire people made us feel that we had a competent technician and individual. Fred’s Appliance Service has been impressive and we highly recommend them and will call them for service without hesitation.

Macaulay explained the repair process and has good knowledge of the wiring of my defective Kitchen Aid refrigerator. He was disappointed that the wiring was too short for him to fix the problem. I'm disappointed in the quality of the expensive refrigerator that I purchased from Kitchen Aid, but pleased with the service I received.

Our 15 year old Kenmore washer broke and I didn't want to replace it. I don't care for the new high efficiency models out there. Fred's provided a quote for repair of the washer and maintenance of the dryer. The washer needed a part which shipped to my home the next day. Corina was very professional and courteous and completed everything in a timely manner. I will use them again in the future.

By far the worst repair service ever! I’ve been without a refrigerator off and on for a month! Most recently came out on 12/3 to fix an ongoing issue. Refrigerator is still not working! I’ve lost food at the hands of this company and they refused to do anything to help!

Fred's fulfilled their obligation admirably. Unfortunately, Home Depot's warranty Dept. was horrible. It took almost a month and hours of my time on the phone to get 1 part for the washing machine. The 1st two part arrived in 3 days. The last, Home Depot drug their feet. Fred's was so apologetic. We both kept trying to get the last part shipped. It finally arrived and was promptly installed. Fred's is a good company. Home Depot's warranty Dept. is terrible!

Corina Brimer stopped by my house for a warranty repair on an Amana washing machine. She arrived on time, was very professional and diagnosed the problem quickly and explained what the problem was.. She came back a few days later to install a replacement control panel. She quickly swapped out the faulty panel with the new one, checked the washing machine for correct operation and made sure I was satisfied with the service. Hard to say whether it could have been done any more quickly, but in the end I am happy with my repair and glad that you warranty the parts, labor, and service call (though would like the service call to and labor to be a year, like the parts.)

Brian came to my home to try to fix my JennAir convection oven which is 18 years old. The self-cleaning part broke. Brian took it all apart, explained to me it was shot, cleaned it up. He said the part is no longer made but did a search for it in case it was stored in a warehouse somewhere. He was unable to find it which is ok because it used to be expensive and I would not put $500 into an oven so old. When he left after an hour he said now try the self-cleaner—you never know. Well, he set it for 3 hours and it did clean my oven. I know it’s temporary but I so appreciate him going the extra mile. I like thorough service people and he fits the bill. Great job!

The issue with the Maytag washer making the knocking noise as it agitates back and forth was not resolved. The svc tech Corey tightened the agitator but the knocking noise remained. I have a five year warranty with Home Depot that expires early 2020. Corey said if the knocking noise gets louder or the agitator stops working for me to call a place a service call. I did not have this knocking noise prior to me placing the service call.

Came out for initial service. Needed an aurora board for lights. Had it shipped. He came back. Switched out the board and nothing changed. Perplexed he called his team. They told him what to check. After checking freezer light he thought of an unused part in his truck from an earlier job. Put that in and it worked. Was done in minutes after that. Could have been a whole nother couple of days with a part having to be shipped out. Thanks to Brian’s quick thinking the job got done.

Horrible Home Appliance Repair Service




Fred’s Appliance Service came to my home to repair my refrigerator four times in a matter of two weeks and the issue as of today date still hasn’t been fixed. After being told that everything was working I went a purchased food that was lost due to my refrigerator issue. I am now in danger of losing all of the new food that I purchased because my refrigerator is still not working! I’m out of money, food, and lost time from work!

I needed fast service due to handicap Corina came and repaired my refrigerator. I would not have had cold food/beverages others as I am homebound. Her professionalism and help is exemplary.


Nothing done - couldn’t find leak!




Not very happy! Service lasted 2 hours. Couldn’t find leak. Left 2 pieces of white paper to place under dishwasher and told me to run normal cycle and then watch for leaks and send video/pictures. Really? Have replaced flooring twice now due to leaks with this dishwasher and repaired already once by your company. Will now have to schedule another appointment and take time off from work to have them come out and check and then another day off to have them fix it once they get part. I just replaced floor again and checked by placing paper towels under the dishwasher prior to service call and paper towels were definitely wet! Not very happy customer. Under warranty. No cost to me justvtime and aggravation!

I do see that your technician both the high pressure wash and drain cycles and could not duplicate the issue. Since this was the case, the technician recommended taking a video so that he will be able to see more clearly where it is leaking and assist in the diagnosis rather than guessing what the issue may be. We will be happy to come out and take another to get this squared away for you! My first appointment never happened. They didn’t show up or call. When we called to find out why they said we didn’t have an appointment, even though one had been made over the phone and I had written it in my planner and missed work to be home. So then they rescheduled it for us for another week later. Meanwhile, we can’t wash clothes for another week. On the day of the second appointment, the repairman sat outside in his car for a while then left. He called me while I was at work, but I’m not near my phone at work and couldn’t answer. I wasn’t about to miss another day of work so my mom agreed to sit at the house for the repair and didn’t know why he never came in. She then called and he came back to do the repair. When I checked my messages after work, he had called to say he needs permission to knock on the door and do the repair? I think that’s ridiculous! But for the amount of the repair and the hassle and loss of money at work, I could have bought a brand new drier. The drier was repaired but he had to come back again in another week because he didn’t have the part he needed. So all together it was about 3 weeks worth of waiting. So I will not recommend this company at any time in the future to repair any appliance.

I am having a problem with the taste of my water from a fridge I purchased this year. I replaced the filter like whirlpool suggested and it still did not make a difference so then they setup an appointment for me to get it checked out with your company. The guy came and just basically tasted the water and was like I don’t smell or taste anything bad so I got up mad and said so what I’m a liar and I would waste both our times having you come here because there isn’t a problem. That was all he did and that was basically it. So they didn’t solve my problem or even help me to come up with a solution which I thought was one of the reasons he came but he wasted my time and the issue is still not resolved. I am very disappointed with the service of this company and I’m sad to say I would not recommend them to anyone in the future unless they can come up with better people to come and check out the problems that actually want to help their customers and not just make it seem like the customer has no idea what they are talking about. Extremely frustrated with Art the rep that came to represent your company. 😡

Great Service, But Still Not Fixed




I've been having problems with the lighting in my new Whirlpool fridge since I had it delivered in December 2017. The lights flicker badly and quit working at times. Art came out 11/9 and immediately diagnosed a faulty LED circuit board with out any disassembly or diagnostic work. He ordered a replacement part and returned 11/15 to install it. That did not solve the issue one bit, so he got on the phone with a phone tech from Whirlpool. He was told it's a known issue with the freezer drawer in these fridges. He said the insulation is so tight it causes a wiring issue. He got it to work, then left. Within minutes of leaving, the flicking issue returned and is still constant with every use. I guess I can live with it for now, until it gets worse...

The service was great. The problem was that the fan plug came unpluged. Jeff found it odd that that happened and I'm wondering if the gentleman from Freds that replaced the fan from my last service call didn't plug it in all the way. I felt the charge was a little excessive for the service.

Had a weird problem with igniters and convection fan on three month old slide in range. Had a first visit to diagnose and then a follow-up a few days later to install the new parts. Love the ability to track the technicians to gauge when they might be arriving within the 3 hour window. Since we're hosting the family for Thanksgiving not having an oven that worked was a MAJOR concern. Thanks David!!

He took his time acessing the problem and checked several things and came up with a solution as he was leaving the problem reocccured and then he found the drip as it was happening and it was a very unusual leak as it ran down frame and showed up in a place far from the water line. He was able to then reacess and correct the problem thus solving our issue

Washer Repair




I called for washer repair because it was making noise, but still working. After the first two visits, it was no longer working. We went for weeks without a washer which was a hardship, but after all that, it is working better than ever, for which I'm appreciative. I just think it was a very long trip to get here. I trust Fred's and will continue to use them for my appliance repairs. And even knew on this journey that they would get to the bottom of it.
