Adjustment completed

Refrigerator French door was a little lower than the other. Technician leveled the appliance as best he could and doors are almost even. He said the back left corner needed a shim and he didn't do that in the adjustment service warranty.

The service tech was pleasant, honest straight forward with all that was wrong with the machine. I was not happy that a top of the line machine, 6 years old is not worth fixing. Although I had the option to repair it there was not guarantee the same thing would not happen again nor something else would go wrong. My issue is with Whirlpool not your tech. I will be contacting them.

Repair men are courteous and arrive on time. Working on repair for over a month. Came yesterday and installed a part. Tried to use it this AM. Worked 15 min. Then quit. Same problem. Touch buttons wouldn't work. Had to go through warranty co. Then had to wait for call back from Fred's. Now can't get a technician to come out for another 2 weeks. Shouldn't take this long to get service.

I was very appreciative the tech had what he needed on-hand, very glad to not have to wait for parts to be ordered. I was disappointed to see the first hour of labor was not included in the service fee. The arrival time window was a bit ambitious, 1-4pm when I was #9 of 11 for the day (which was nice to see/track via their web site).

he helped me understand all there is to know about my washer and how to dispense everything in certain quantities etc.i have never used this type of washer before which is a front loader machine. i needed to be reassured it was doing its job because my son has been very ill and needs to have clothing extremely clean and free from any germs and bacteria etc. thank you for sending me a person that has made the visit very helpful and pleasurable. he took his time and did not rush me at all. he was very respectful and extremely nice. i would recommend him to anyone. i have to say he is the first person in a long time that i was happy to get help from and talk to.

After checking out my oven, the repairman said a whole downdraft had to be replaced. I had called him for a vent repair. My oven was in total working order prior to the service call minus the vent. When he put it together it no longer worked. He wasn't sure what he did to it, so it took him quite a long time to fix it . I heard the vent going and asked him about it because he said he couldn't fix it. He said it was working and I didn't need a whole new downdraft that would have cost hundreds. Makes me wonder if I hadn't told him the oven didn't work if I would have been stuck for an expensive part that I didn't need.

Had a refrigerator that wasn't cooling. Initial repair done on a Friday, unit didn't work over the weekend. Two technicians came late the following Monday (after 7:30 P.M.) to finally get the refrigerator working again.

Amanda refrigerator design flaw addressed professionally by Fred's technician

Water was collecting in my Amana freezer/refrigerator caused by ice buildup in a drain tube. Other repair services were tried before I called Fred's with service call fees totaling more than $300. Paulfrom Fred's got on the phone with Whirlpool/Amana people asking intelligent questions while persisting until an Amana senior engineer joined the call with a part recommendation that has fixed the problem. Would have liked to see Fred's Appliance Service pressure Whirlpool/Amana on my behalf to recover previous service call costs which resulted when Amana failed to appropriately advise the Certifed Dealers that I called before Fred's. I did not ask this of Fred's nor have they offered.

The repair persons really didn't spend much time looking for the problem. The problem still exists and I have had to go elsewhere.

Amazing job!

Corina came in for us twice, once to replace the baking element and once to replace the control panel. While she needed some assistance to remove and install the oven, that was due to a previous installation and no fault of hers: the oven was installed by a complete amateur and left no room to maneuver unless there was a second person assisting. She seamlessly replaced the baking element and stayed until almost 10:00 at night to ensure our unit worked; when it still did not she diagnosed the new problem immediately. On her second visit, the part that was ordered did not match the part that needed to be replaced, but she cleverly worked around the issue, and within a few short minutes had completely fixed the problem with our control panel and oven! An outstanding job from a wonderful technician, it was truly an outstanding experience having Corina with us!

Kitchenaide Ice Maker Repair

Icemaker replaced yet no change or difference in function. Told repairman we replace our RO system and it quit making ice. First visit was 5 minutes no inspection. 2nd visit he replaced icemaker and left without contacting me (had to leave left #). 2 weeks now w/o ice.

Customer review

We had the frig unplugged because it was not cooling. At all. The service person said that because it was not plugged in, he could only guess after being there only a few minutes and checking a few things. The estimate for what he thought was the matter (not sure) would be $600-900. No thank you. It would have been nice to have had an adjustment in the rate for 10 minutes of work.

Once we could get them here, Paul at Fred's did a really great job repairing our refrigerator.

This is the second time Fred's has come to our home to work on our oven. The repair was accomplished in no time. I will use them again.

Problem was pinpointed immediately and the necessary replacement parts were ordered and installed. They did not work through no fault of the servicing. It is the refrigerator, consequently another opinion was needed by Whirlpool.

Having a two month old and a broken washer is not ideal. I over booked my morning with a washer repair and a Doctors appointment. Good news, was that Ben at Fred's Appliance was prompt, polite, friendly, and very speedy with the repair! In and out in no time, and done to perfection! Didn't have to skip a beat and worry about not making my two month olds Doctors appointment! Thanks Ben and Fred's Appliance!!!

Bad service.

Unfortunately a silicon spray was used to make it easier to close the bottom freezer door. This did not help and the door is not easier to close and the spray and its chemical contents penetrated the food items in the refrigerator. I ended up throwing out all my fruits and vegetables, milk and other products that were enclosed in plastic containers. The odor is not going away. It is recirculating throughout the refrigerator.

Second Opinion, Should've Been First!

Called Fred's for a 'second opinion' on a 4 year old washing machine after another repair company didn't resolve the issue and recommended replacement. They sent Paul, a Maytag certified repair person who quickly identified the issue, made the repair and swapped back out the unnecessary repair piece. VERY satisfied! And while I hope I don't need their services for many years, they will definitely be my first call from now on

My only complaint pertains to the scheduling process. We had an appointment scheduled, for the morning, and it was changed to an afternoon appointment without a representative asking us. Luckily, we were able to schedule for a morning appointment on another date. Brian was great; he was professional and knowledgeable about our appliance.

KitchenAid Oven Repair

Fred's always does a nice job on repairs and Dan was no different. He was on time and replaced the thermal fuse in the oven. He moved the fuse to a different location to minimize a reoccurrence as this was the third time for replacement. In my opinion, the thermal fuse is either underrated or is placed in an improper place in the oven - in other words, a design flaw. Notwithstanding this, Fred's does a nice job of repairing appliances even though you may have to wait a week to cook food in an oven due to their schedule.

First, my service call was scheduled much sooner than I had expected. The technician, Chris, was very prompt, checked out the problem and also advised on the setting number for the freezer. He was very professional. (Unit under warranty)

I was frustrated by the fact that Chad had to come out 3 times. When I called to make the appointment I told them that the previous service guy said the hinge would need to be replaced. Chad came out just to order the part. The parts came, but they were the wrong parts. That was the second service call. So a third call needed to be scheduled once the correct part was delivered.

Poor Service Again

So same as last service call. 10-15 minutes! Pointed a temp gun at the fridge and freezer, yep it's cooling. pushed a few buttons on the panel no error codes stored so there is nothing wrong with the fridge. At least the first two guys made an attempt to fix it. Dig into it. Do some real troubleshooting. Do something. Oh and btw, why the hell did your inside person have me email a video to them when it was acting up, not to show it to the tech before they came out? Maybe he could have looked at it beforehand and said hey anybody run into this problem?! When I talked to him today he did say yeah I see that there is mention in the notes that a video was sent in, but I haven't seen it. WHAT???? I gave it one more shot with you guys and I have advised Home Depot not to send you back out for any repairs. Unacceptable!

Quick Resolution

The only negative thing was Robert showed up earlier than scheduled, which wasn't totally surprising having tracked his progress on the link, which kind of inconvenienced me since I'd wanted to take the dog out, but he made up for it by being quick in the repair. He answered all my questions well and I felt like we got our money's worth.

We had two issues going on at the same time with our Kitchen Aid appliances. Both were ultimately fixed to our satisfaction. I would like to make a comment about an issue we had with our refrigerator. We were getting a replacement door from the manufacturer. The door was scratched upon installation and a new one was being ordered to replace it. There was an issue with the manufacturer in getting this door which resulted in some confusion. Thinking the issue was resolved, whirlpool closed the service order, stating that it can be opened with a phone call. When the employee from Fred's went to schedule the tech for the door, they saw the order was closed. Rather than calling Whirlpool to see what was going on, I was called and told the order was closed and to just throw the new door in the trash!?! After making a few phone calls myself I cleared up the confusion. I'm sure there was some frustration due the fact that this replacement was taking forever, but....

Our Whirlpool refrigerator was brand new. It just is very loud and we wondered if there was a problem with the compressor. Due to the fact that there is limited space under the cupboard was the issue. No adjustment could be made. It was no charge because it was under warranty.

Avoid Lowes

Fred's provides excellent service. I am not happy with Lowes reimbursement however. I had to call Lowes 10 times for three days and wait on hold for over 15 minutes before I got thru to a person, because Antonette had to talk with her supervisor before sending me the reimbursement to be delayed 14 days. Not happy with Lowes.

Refrigerator Repair

The replacement part (Air Diffuser) was replaced on a timely basis and service was very professional and courteous. However, the cooling problem has not been resolved. It is the refrigerator's cooling system. In order to adequately cool, it must be kept at its highest setting, which is No. 5. This is not normal. Normal should be 37 degrees. So far we have not achieved that with setting No. 5. It is not your fault. I would like to see 37 degrees with No. 3 setting. I used two refrigerator devices to assess the temperatures.
