Techs superior but . . .

I was extremely pleased with all the techs who were here. Dan is still superior! However, I am totally frustrated by the trend in all repair institutions (that derives from the overwhelming choices offered to our society) that requires parts be ordered from a third party after the tech is here for analysis.This then requires another service scheduling. This meant we usually had to wait another week before getting on the schedule. I wonder if it is possible to put a tentative return appointment when making the analysis appointment. It could be cancelled almost immediately if analysis showed no part needed or problem lies in some universal part that could be stocked. All of this feeds into the lower convenience rating that would be higher if referring to the time frame for the actual service call. I also wonder if the vast choices for everything from salsa variety to presidential candidates is just making life more difficult and basically signals that we are all just made to think that the world should cater to our every whim but that’s a lecture for another day!🤔🤔

Serviceman was very polite. I think your rates are very high. Was unhappy that at the price charged I had to re-pull the fridge out to put the cover back on the back of the fridge and I had to put the front grating back on. Not professional service that I had to put the fridge back together, what was I paying for?

I was dismayed by how long it took to actually get the repair done overall. We had two diagnoses and waited almost a week for part 1 only to be told that thenfirst diagnosis was wrong, althoug itmdidmseem to make sense. The second diabnosis meant we had another wait for a part, 2 days, but a six day wait for the installation. In addition, the supplier for the parts used fedex and the first part arrived with one end of the box totally open! I realize Fred’s repair is not a franchise for any brand of appliance but having to wait two,weeks for parts and service schedule to gel was really a proble, for a refrigerator/freezer repair in June! Both repairmen were exremely polite and diligent in their work, however. They seemed knowledgeable, also.

We have two rental cottages at Geneva on the Lake. This is the second time we've called Fred's to work on our stack-able washer/dryers (separate issues two years apart). Everyone I spoke with, from the ladies who answered the phone to the techs who did the work, were super polite, knowledgeable and upfront with their policies. They gave a window of time they would arrive, called to let me know the tech was 40 minutes out, then the tech texted when he was there. The customer service we received is what you would have expected from an old "Mom and Pop" shop which is not often found in today's world. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!
