Appliance Repair in Geneva, Ohio
for Geneva, OH
HARRIETTE - Geneva, OH
I was dismayed by how long it took to actually get the repair done overall. We had two diagnoses and waited almost a week for part 1 only to be told that thenfirst diagnosis was wrong, althoug itmdidmseem to make sense. The second diabnosis meant we had another wait for a part, 2 days, but a six day wait for the installation. In addition, the supplier for the parts used fedex and the first part arrived with one end of the box totally open! I realize Fred’s repair is not a franchise for any brand of appliance but having to wait two, weeks for parts and service schedule to gel was really a proble, for a refrigerator/freezer repair in June! Both repairmen were exremely polite and diligent in their work, however. They seemed knowledgeable, also.
Response from Fred's Appliance Service:
Hi Harriette, Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. We apologize that you had to wait for both parts and scheduling. We deliver parts directly to our customers to ensure the quickest deliver possible. For scheduling, we are in the midst of our busy season this summer, but we do our best to get out as soon as possible for all of our customers. We are happy to hear that our technicians were polite and knowledgeable! Thank you, The Fred's Team

We have two rental cottages at Geneva on the Lake. This is the second time we've called Fred's to work on our stack-able washer/dryers (separate issues two years apart). Everyone I spoke with, from the ladies who answered the phone to the techs who did the work, were super polite, knowledgeable and upfront with their policies. They gave a window of time they would arrive, called to let me know the tech was 40 minutes out, then the tech texted when he was there. The customer service we received is what you would have expected from an old "Mom and Pop" shop which is not often found in today's world. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

About Your Appointment
APPLIANCE REPAIR COST
Our service call and diagnosis fee is $89.95 on most items.
This includes the trip to the home and a complete diagnosis of your unit regardless of time. Parts and labor are extra. Labor is calculated using a national flat rate labor guide. For the 2nd appliance in the same home during the same trip the service call and diagnosis fee is $45.00
What goes into the cost of our service call and diagnostics?
The purchase and maintenance of each technician’s van, including insurance and taxes.
Until Tesla releases a service van, we have to continue using gasoline for our vans.
From simple wrenches to vacuum pumps, we need to have the proper tools on hand to get it right the first time.
We keep parts in our van that are prone to needing replaced during the average appliance lifespan.
We take great care to protect your home while we are visiting but unintended mistakes can occur. When we are at fault, we want to make sure you are protected.
Our technicians use the industry’s latest tablet/smart phone technology from technician tracking to a paperless work environment.
Health and Retirement plans for each technician. Paid vacation and sick leave.
TAXES & LEGAL
As a small business, we still require professional accountants to ensure we stay within the tax codes. Also we require legal council for any large business transaction.
Includes website and mobile website. Social media presence and blogging. Survey management. Ensures better communication with our customers that allows us to make continued improvements.
Desk, computers, phone system, high-speed internet and the software that manages different aspects of the business.
Our technicians dispatch from their home, but our office employees, who answer your calls and manage the technician’s day, need a dedicated environment to work together.
