"Customer stated she had been hearing a squealing noise during spin. Installed valve, lid and slider. Ran auto test. Found unit making grinding noise at slow spin. Found rotor does not fit tight to gear case shaft, has some play causing rotor to hit stator. Needs gear case and rotor; ordrng 1 W11393685 (Gear case) and 1 W11260238 (rotor)"

Communication between the services was confusing as far the appointment time. Lowes’ extended warranty plan stated the appt was from 9 to 4. Fred’s appliances relayed the appt time as 2 to 5. My technician from Fred’s appliances called ahead, arrived around 4, assessed the problem, and fixed my washer. The technician efficient solved the problem. As far as the whole experience I was more frustrated by calling into the Whirlpool repair line and/or Lowe’s’ extended warranty plan.
