As the go-to source for appliance repair training in the United States, we get a lot of requests for specialized training and courses. A lot of service companies ask us to create training specifically related to LG and Samsung, which are gaining market share every year against Whirlpool, Electrolux, and GE. Our courses focus on the basic concepts and principles of appliance repair that apply to all brands. While we are always interested in creating specialized training to meet the demand, we discover that many technicians do not know how to properly read a wiring diagram or how to properly use a volt meter, analog or digital.
In our three week course, we discuss appliance electrical theory at the very beginning. This involves proper instruction on how to properly read resistance, amps, and voltage, how to utilize Ohms law in appliance repair, and each student will get to build electric circuits so they can have a hands-on learning experience. These principles will continue to be re-enforced every day for the remainder of the course as we move on to actual product training.
But what about the technician that has experience and cannot commit for three weeks of training? We have you covered with our ONE WEEK APPLIANCE ELECTRICAL THEORY AND MICROWAVE class. The course will cover:
For wiring diagrams, we will pick certain products from our inventory and as a class walk through how to properly read and trace where the power is going in the appliance depending on its current state of operation. We plan to pick at least one Samsung/LG product to breakdown along with a few other models depending on how much time remains by the end of the week. We want to take out the mystery and get technicians to understand that if you can read a wiring diagram properly and use a volt meter properly, it doesn’t matter what brand you are working on. That is why it is so important to ensure that each technician has the proper training in appliance electrical theory.
