So, whether you’re having a fun night out with friends, celebrating a birthday, looking to explore new hobbies and interests, or planning the ultimate date night we have something for you.

Dragon Battles

Yes, you read that right. Dragon battles. Does it get any better than that? Okay, so there won’t be real dragons, but the 2019 Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival has the next best thing. Dragon boat racing has been around for a long time. 2,000 years long. It started as a Chinese tradition meant to awaken the Heavenly Dragon so that he would bless their crops. But we won’t judge if you go simply to see some amazing boats! The festival will bring the spirit of those ancient battles to life on at Black River Landing on Sep 7 from 8 am to 4 pm. The Dragon Boat Festival promises 40-foot crafts with dragons on their bows, ready for war. Watch as paddlers and drummers bring the celebration to life before your eyes in an epic mix of culture and fun. After watching the races, or in between, enjoy cultural experiences like Chinese lion dances, Japanese Taiko drumming, and so much more. If you’re brave, you can even register to compete in the races! Regardless of whether you watch or participate, you’re sure to have a good time, get plenty of amazing pictures for your Instagram, and create lasting memories with anyone lucky enough to enjoy the festival alongside you.

Bourbon and Bacon

Again, can it get any better? We don’t think so. Delight your taste buds as you indulge in the deliciousness that is the Bourbon and Bacon Fest held on Fri Sep 13 from 6 pm to 11 pm and Saturday from 4 pm to 10 pm. This party is truly for everyone. Beer drinkers can indulge in Bourbon Barrel Aged Beers, and for the wine lovers, you guessed it, there’s Bourbon Barrel Aged Wine available. And of course, let’s not forget about the Bourbon and Bacon! And, if all of the above sounds good to you, you’re in luck. Your entry to this delicious festival comes with 12 sample tickets that you can use to try any of the delectable drinks provided. And let’s not forget about music. It’s simply not a party without amazing tunes. Again, this festival has provided a little something for everyone. Blues, rock, and music to get your blood pumping and your feet moving will carry you away into the night as you enjoy spectacular views of the city alongside your special someone or awesome group of friends who know that the mix of bourbon and bacon make for a truly epic night.

Art and Food

Who doesn’t love browsing through unique art and jewelry? The 2019 Fall Flea Market provides that and more. Enjoy a beautifully lazy day as you stroll through row after row of vendors offering a wide selection of vintage finds, one of a kind jewelry, and handmade art. Want to make sure your home stands out and doesn’t look like a magazine picture come to life? You’re in luck. Unique furniture crafters will be at the flea market, offering one of a kind designs that will make your house both individualistic and beautiful. And let’s not forget about the food. Food vendors will be offering delectable treats from 9 am to 4 pm both days. So, if you’re free on Sept 21 or the 22, treat yourself to some rare finds and delicious food. Who knows what treasures you might find.

Irish Jig

Are you ready for a really good time? Because that’s exactly what you’ll find at the Ohio Celtic Festival, a three day family-friendly Irish/Celtic festival. This event is packed with so much fun you won’t know where to start. Enjoy fifteen live performances that will have you doing the Irish jig, even if you’re not sure how to do it. We’ll give you an A for effort even if you have two left feet. Leave all your cares at the door, as you let the music, and booze, flow through you. This festival promises live entertainment across three stages, and if that wasn’t enough, it amps up the Irish fun with domestic and imported beer, an Irish Whiskey tasting, wine tasting, and let’s not forget about that delicious Irish Coffee. For those of you with a sweet tooth, stop in at the bake shop for some uniquely delicious treats. Now, you might be thinking, that’s great, but what about the kids? Don’t worry, the festival has provided plenty of entertainment for them as well, including a stage dedicated to magic shows, inflatables, and face painting. It truly is the whole package. So come join the fun, starting Friday, Sept 20 from 5 pm to 11 pm.

I’ve Got the Blues

And you will too, in the best possible way if you come to the Blues Fest at Rock the Amphitheater on Sep 7 from 3 pm to 10 pm. Come rain or shine you can indulge your senses in soul-stirring music, delicious treats from the food trucks on-site, and incredible drinks. As you dance or sing to the music, try a sampling of barrel-aged wine and beer during the wine and beer tasting. Browse the unique offerings of local vendors, while you take in the beauty of nature and the one-of-a-kind blues sound. Whether you take part in one or all of these epic festivals happening in, or around, the Cleveland area, you’re sure to have a memorable and enjoyable September.
