Cleaning the interior of an oven is often a chore many people choose to avoid. However, neglecting this task can lead to unwanted oven appliance repair issues. If you’re dodging this important maintenance job due to your dislike of store bought oven cleaners, we would like to provide you with 3 natural cleaning procedures that will have your appliance sparkling in no time.

Cleaning With Vinegar

White vinegar is an all-natural cleaning tool that has the ability to cut through the grease and grim that’s left in your oven. To make the process easy, simply fill a spray bottle with vinegar and generously cover the inside of your appliance with the liquid. After you’ve finished spraying your oven’s interior, allow the vinegar to sit on the soiled surface for several minutes. As you’re waiting, dampen a sponge with warm water. Once enough time has passed, carefully wipe down the inside of your appliance. If your oven is still dirty after the first cleaning, repeat the procedure again, but be sure to rinse out your sponge before using it.

A Baking Soda Mixture

Baking soda is another natural product that can provide your oven with a thorough cleaning. To begin, sprinkle baking soda liberally on the interior surface of your oven. Next, spray the substance with either water or vinegar. If you’re dealing with a substantially soiled oven, using a vinegar, baking soda mix is best. Finally, let the combination sit over night before wiping it down with a damp sponge or rag.

If your oven isn’t in bad shape and only needs a slight cleaning, lemons are the perfect solution. Merely fill a shallow pan with water and put a few lemon peels inside of it. Set your oven to 350 degrees, and place the pan inside for no more than 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, carefully remove the pan and turn off the oven. Once your appliance has sufficiently cooled, use a sponge or rag to wipe away any unwanted debris. Not only will your oven be clean, but it will also smell great.
