There are two basic types of homeowners when it comes to appliance repairs.
Type 2 will not, under any circumstances, read the manual. If they cannot fix the problem in an hour, they will call in another type 2 friend to help. They will look at the broken appliance, cuss at it while drinking a couple of beers, before deciding to call in another friend who is somewhere between a type 1 and a type 2. If they do not manage to fix the busted device. The third friend will try to convince the friend who owns the device to call a repairman. Finally, after four more beers and an hour of discussing the topic, the wife, tired of the whole mess, calls Fred’s Appliance. They come out and fix the problem, by plugging in the appliance’s power cord in the wall socket. It was later discovered that their son had tripped over the power cord and pulled it out of the wall.
Type one would have read the manual first and checked to make sure the appliance had power. It took him about ten minutes to fix the problem.
Some times the solution is not that simple. That is when you need to contact us at Fred’s Appliance.
