Top Maytag Laundry Tips

We all want our clothes and other fabrics to last a long time. This is one reason we take care of them by washing them after we have worn or used them. For those with Maytag washers and dryers, there are definitely some things you can do to help make your fabrics last even longer. Here are a few laundry tips to keep in mind.

Tip 1: Look for Loose Items

Before you start a new load, always examine your washer for loose items that may have been left in the washer. These items could wind up snagging your clothes or damaging them as they go through the wash.

Tip 2: Sort Clothes First

In order to keep colors from fading or transferring to other clothes, make sure you separate them before you start. Along with sorting by color, sort by the amount of soiling that is on the clothing as well. For example, washing delicate items separate from heavily soiled sporting equipment is the best idea.

Tip 3: Treat Stains Promptly

In order to get rid of stains on your clothes, make sure you treat them as soon as you can. You should always follow the instructions on any stain remover carefully in order to make sure you put it on the right type of material. If you are removing stains from a white garment, bleach can help tremendously. However, avoid applying bleach to one location on the clothes because this could lead to discoloration. Instead, bleach the entire piece of clothing.

These are a few tips that you can use along with your Maytag appliance to help make your clothes last longer and look better. To learn even more tips, contact us today. We will be able to make sure your appliance is working great so that your clothes will last longer than ever before.
