Appliance Repair Training: Hands-On Education, In-Demand Skills

Experienced appliance repair technicians are always in demand. The appliances we so often take for granted add up to a significant investment in our homes and apartments – meaning homeowners as well as rental property managers are continuously in need of skilled service and repair personnel.

Intensive Training to Launch a Career

Appliance repair training is an excellent educational investment, particularly for someone with mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning the fundamentals of electrical circuitry, as jobs are regularly available and work is steady.

A comprehensive three-week course covers a wide range of topics, in considerable depth. A full week is devoted to refrigeration training, including electrical and plumbing requirements, diagnosing sealed systems, safe use of torch and high temperature braze, as well as defrost systems, ice making and water/ice dispensing operations.

Other major topic areas covered include installation and repairs of

  • Ranges, including bake and broil elements, gas burners and electric, and converting from natural to LP
  • Top- and front-load washers
  • Dryers, both gas and electric

Complementing each topic are troubleshooting and customer service/education techniques that help prepare students for situations that occur in the appliance repair business.

If you are considering changing careers, or looking to add to your skills (and earning potential) in your appliance repair business, you owe it to yourself to look into Fred’s Appliance Academy.

More Education, More Opportunity

Specialized one-week courses on the finer points of repairing refrigerators, washers and dryers, and electrical theory and microwave repairs are also offered. Individual arrangements can be made for intensive, one-day courses covering specific aspects of appliance operation, service and repair.

Questions about what’s covered, in any of the courses offered? Considering the logistics of sending several employees at one time? Please contact us.

Fred’s Appliance Academy is registered with the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools, and we welcome your questions.
