Even with the convenience of eating out or using a microwave, most of us depend on our range to work when we need it. In fact, there are few appliances that we depend on more so when your range isn’t working you may be considering a new one. Here are four reasons to choose range appliance repair over buying a brand new one.
- Cost. This is the most obvious reason to choose to have your range fixed instead of buying a new one. Not only is a new range much more expensive, a repair may be more simple and inexpensive than you think. Sometimes what makes the range no longer work is a simple repair that may not cost much at all.
- Dependability. Older ranges are typically built better and many do not have the complex computer technology that new models come with. While this all depends on the year, make and model of your range, if you have an older, dependable model then there is no reason to pay a lot of money for something that may not work as well in the long run.
- Familiarity. Since you already know how your range works, how accurate the cooking times are and the ins and outs of its functionality, why not opt to repair it instead of replacing it? With a new range you not only have to learn how it works but the cooking times may vary greatly – remember, not every oven cooks the same even though recipes always call for a certain time and temperature.
- Support Local Business. By having your range repaired, you are supporting a local business. Many brands of new ranges are imported from other countries and while that may not be an issue for you, local business helps your community in commerce and don’t forget that a repair job is “greener” than buying an entire new appliance.
If you have questions about whether you should repair your range or if it’s time to invest in a new one, simply contact us and we’ll be glad to help.
